Following the team’s narrow 1-0 defeat to Gold Coast United on Sunday afternoon, the squad were up early the next morning for a recovery session at Broadbeach near Surfers Paradise.

For many of the squad, this was their first time in Australian waters and the refreshing dip helped soothe the aches and pains of Sunday’s testing pre-season match against A-League opposition.

The squad return to Townsville on Monday afternoon ahead of a tough week of training before they play Adelaide United at Brolga Park on Friday.
